Support — Valley School App
Effective date: May 14, 2026
Welcome to support for the Valley School mobile application (the “App”), published by Avayla, Inc. (“Avayla,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The App is intended for use by parents and guardians of students enrolled at Valley School.
Avayla, Inc. is a California corporation. The App is not affiliated with, owned by, or operated by Valley School or Veracross.
1. How to get help
If you need help using the App, please email us at [email protected]. We do our best to respond within two business days.
When emailing, please include:
- Your iOS version (Settings > General > About)
- Your device model
- A short description of the issue
- A screenshot, if applicable
For privacy-related questions, please write to [email protected] instead. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle information.
2. Signing in to the App
The App signs you in using your existing Veracross account, which is configured through the Valley School online portal. We do not create accounts and we do not have access to your Veracross password.
If you do not yet have a Veracross account, or you cannot sign in with your existing credentials, please contact Valley School directly through https://valleyschool.com. The school manages all account provisioning, password resets, and access changes.
If you have an active Veracross account but the App is not signing you in, try the following:
- Confirm you can sign in at https://accounts.veracross.com/valleyschool/portals/login using a web browser.
- Make sure your iOS device is connected to the internet.
- Force-quit and reopen the App.
- If the problem continues, email [email protected] with the details above.
3. Face ID / Touch ID sign-in
After your first successful sign-in, the App offers an option to sign in with Face ID or Touch ID. This is opt-in — you can enable or disable it at any time from the App’s Settings screen.
The biometric flow unlocks the session that was saved during your initial sign-in. It does not transmit your face or fingerprint data to Avayla or to Veracross. Biometric data never leaves your device.
If Face ID or Touch ID stops working:
- Make sure biometrics are enrolled in iOS Settings (Settings > Face ID & Passcode or Settings > Touch ID & Passcode).
- Open the App’s Settings screen and toggle the biometric option off and back on.
- If the problem continues, sign out and sign back in to refresh the saved session.
4. Lunch Account
Some Valley School families use ezSchoolApps.com for their lunch account. The App provides a convenience feature that opens the ezSchoolApps website in a web view and can auto-fill your saved username and password.
- Saving credentials is optional. If you do not save them, the App will not auto-fill anything.
- Saved credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device and are not transmitted to Avayla.
- You can clear your saved credentials at any time from the App’s Settings screen.
For any questions about your lunch account, please contact ezSchoolApps or Valley School directly — Avayla is not involved in lunch account management.
5. Privacy
How the App handles your information is described in our Privacy Policy. In short:
- We do not collect your name, email address, mailing address, or phone number.
- We do not use third-party advertising networks or third-party analytics services.
- We do not sell or share your personal information.
Please read the full Privacy Policy for details.
6. Reporting a bug or requesting a feature
We welcome feedback. Please email [email protected] with a clear description of what you would like to see, or what is going wrong. If possible, include a screenshot or short screen recording. We read every message.
7. Removing the App and your data
The App does not create accounts on Avayla servers, so there is no Avayla account to delete. To stop using the App, simply uninstall it from your iOS device — this removes the saved Veracross session cookie and any saved Lunch Account credentials from the iOS Keychain.
If you wish to deactivate your underlying Veracross account, please contact Valley School directly.
